George Washington’s Vision.
George Washington’s vision has much to do with modern times.
We live in interesting times.
Some men want more than others, and at the cost of those others.
Some men want to destroy us, call us The Great Satan, and infiltrate our country in order to commit acts of violence.
Some men wish to vote us into oblivion, to take away our sovereignty in favor of a world government. A government, it should be added, whose sole intent is to enslave the world on spiritual level.
As do many people, I often cogitate, ask how it all came to be, ask how a nation of heroes, heroes that have rescued the rest of the world from dark times, have come to be so put upon.
And, sometimes there seems to be no answer. The dark clouds gather, the cancer grows, and that concept that is us, fair minded and constitutional, seems doomed.
A country that preaches fairness in religion, the right to self expression, the ability to choose our leaders, seems slated to go down in a whimper.
The other night I was reading a book, ended up doing a little google search, and came across a document written by George Washington. The document was written mid-winter at Valley Forge, at the low point of the American Revolution. The army had lost almost every battle and had been in constant retreat. It was the darkest of times.
During this episode of despair General George Washington wrote of a vision he had experienced.
Now, I am a fairly pragmatic person, but the words of this vision spoke out to me, enlightened me, encouraged me.
Here was the man due to become the leader of the nation, a spiritual man, and his vision spoke of three conflicts Americans must face. The first conflict was described thusly:
“I beheld a dark, shadowy being, like an angel, standing, or rather floating in mid-air, between Europe and America. Dipping water out of the ocean in the hollow of each hand, he sprinkled some upon America with his right hand, while with his left hand he cast some on Europe. Immediately a cloud raised from these countries, and joined in mid-ocean. For a while it remained stationary, and then moved slowly westward, until it enveloped America in its murky folds. Sharp flashes of lightning gleamed through it at intervals, and I heard the smothered groans and cries of the American people.”
In my mind, these words of General Washington described the American revolution. A cloud formed from British Loyalists and the armies of England. Eventually the cloud was pushed back, and the country did grow between the oceans.
The second conflict was described thusly:
“At this the dark shadowy angel turned his face southward, and from Africa I saw an ill-omened spectre approach our land. It flitted slowly over every town and city of the latter. The inhabitants presently set themselves in battle array against each other. As I continued looking I a saw bright angel, on whose brow rested a crown of light, on which was traced the word `Union,’ bearing the American flag which he placed between the divided nation, and said, `Remember ye are brethren.’ Instantly, the inhabitants, casting from them their weapons became friends once more, and united around the National Standard.”
In my mind these words described the War Between the States. We had brought slaves from Africa, and this divided us, but, in the end, we managed to perceive ourselves as one nation.
The third conflict was described thusly:
“…the dark, shadowy angel placed a trumpet to his mouth, and blew three distinct blasts; and taking water from the ocean, he sprinkled it upon Europe, Asia and Africa. Then my eyes beheld a fearful scene: from each of these countries arose thick, black clouds that were soon joined into one. Throughout this mass there gleamed a dark red light by which I saw hordes of armed men, who, moving with the cloud, marched by land and sailed by sea to America. Our country was enveloped in this volume of cloud, and I saw these vast armies devastate the whole country and burn the villages, towns and cities that I beheld springing up.”
To explain this third part of the vision I should offer a bit of history. While many know of this history, there are many that do not, thus it is appropriate that I give it. I do speak simply and without prejudice, and I do invite people to research what I say here that they might understand my meaning.
The dark angel in this instance (and possibly in the previous instances) is a specific group of men. Men who are wealthy and who have joined to the purpose of securing for themselves the ownership of earth and all its inhabitants, and who have put aside morality and the welfare of humanity for their cause. We shall call these men by the simple term ‘Oligarchy.’
In General Washington’s vision he describes a ‘dark, red light,’ and it is my opinion that this red light refers directly to a specific political belief which has grown, cancerous, across the world. I am referring to communism.
In this writer’s opinion it appears that the oligarchy who wishes to rule the world have used, as their tool, the artifice of communism. This, despite the fact (or perhaps because…) that communism has resulted in the deaths of over 100,000,000 men during the last century.
Communism has been selected for it puts aside morality, pits the mindless mass of humanity against individual initiative and brilliance, and attacks the very cornerstone of spirituality that resides at the core of every man.
Europe has been effectively taken over by Communism, although it appears, at this time, that the takeover is merely socialistic in nature. But socialism is communism’s younger brother, and it grows stronger as the people grow weaker, and the oligarchy grows stronger. Communism is the outcome, and the death of all things spiritual is the aim.
For spirituality causes freedom of thought, incentive of action, and a desire to rule one’s own life, and to seek one’s own destiny, and this without benefit of corruption such as that offered by the oligarchy.
The governments of Asia are grown of communism. They are grown from the efforts of the worst mass murderer in the history of the world, a man who killed 50,000,000 people in the throes of a great ‘Cultural Revolution.’
The current unrest in the mideast, while appropriate considering the effects extant in those arenas, is motivated by communism, which is in turn motivated by the aims and efforts of the oligarchy.
Thus, these three continents have been instigated, and are aimed precisely at the heart of America, and all for the efforts of a few who would rule, and who would pay no attention (except to squash under the heel) to any vestige of the spirit which lives in every man.
Our leaders have proven weak in resolve and have not protected the union, but have even aided the effort to destroy her.
Unions have bought politicians to corrupt the constitutional process of the republic, and have raised themselves as an elite above people.
War in the mid east threatens to disrupt our life, shut off our energy, sap our religions, even while encouraging our own youth to jihad.
The countries of Asia are poised to take advantage of our economic woes, encourage our financial difficulties, and prepare to supplant us while offering no benefit, except the slide into domination and slavery.
Us, who have protected the world from Hitlers and other dictators.
Us, who rise to every emergency and rescue the world from tragedy.
Indeed, it looks grim. Traitors within, enemies without, and…and then there is the fourth section of General Washington’s vision.
“Instantly a light as of a thousand suns shone down from above me, and pierced and broke into fragments the dark cloud which enveloped America. At the same moment the angel upon whose head still shone the word Union, and who bore our national flag in one hand and a sword in the other, descended from the heavens attended by legions of white spirits. These immediately joined the inhabitants of America, who I perceived were well nigh overcome, but who immediately taking courage again, closed up their broken ranks and renewed the battle.”
Legions of white spirits descending, and it is the end of the dark cloud.
We are the white spirits, described as descending, but, in reality, perhaps awakening. Awakening to our plight, and determined not to bow down to a few. Determined that corruption shall not betray our government, and willing to push that corruption back. Determined that people who wish to have more should have more, but not at the cost of others. Never at the cost of others.
And, General Washington’s last words:
“Then once more I beheld the villages, towns and cities springing up where I had seen them before, while the bright angel, planting the azure standard he had brought in the midst of them, cried with a loud voice, ‘While the stars remain, and the heavens send down dew upon the earth, so long shall the Union last.’ And taking from his brow the crown on which blazoned the word `UNION,’ he placed it upon the Standard while the people, kneeling down, said, `Amen.’”
“…three great perils will come upon the Republic. The most fearful is the third, but in this greatest conflict the whole world united shall not prevail against her. Let every child of the Republic learn to live for his God, his land and the Union. With these words the vision vanished, and I started from my seat and felt that I had seen a vision wherein had been shown to me the birth, progress and destiny of the United States.”
After reading these words, words which had been hidden from me as a student, but which are easy to find in their whole (google search), I was struck by the enormity of this man who had helped found our nation.
He was a leader, spiritual in nature, and he was granted a vision to help us to our end, that our republic shall not perish.
Yes, we are in the midst of tough times, and perhaps there will be violence. Much violence.
But we are an awakened people, a people who can push back the dark clouds and save the world. Who can defeat the efforts of greed and cruelty and oligarchy.
We can save ourselves from the efforts of the oligarchy to enslave us, and we can free the people of earth from the slavery that binds them.
We can do this through the simple artifice of education. By asking our fellow man if they understand what sovereignty is, by planting the seeds of honest industry wherever we walk, by forcing our leaders to do right…or discarding them, and even the memory of them.
Our hope, you see, lies not in arms, but rather in our ability to educate: for you cannot free a slave, you can only educate him to free himself. And it is this education which we must spread.
It is this reality that is at the heart of the Bill of Rights, and of the Constitution which exists solely to protect it.
It is this principle which was manifest by our forefathers, and furthered by the great heroes of our nation.
It is this concept which is at the heart of us.
It is this concept which, I believe, is in the words and the vision of our greatest leader and first president, General George Washington.
